

On-Leash Basic
(3-1)
During this program your dog will stay in residence at Carolina Heat K-9 Training Academy for 3 full training days. This program is designed to give you basic on-leash control. During this time your dog will be taught the following on-leash commands: HEEL with Automatic-SIT and SIT at your side.
Upon completion of this program your dog will be able to walk on a leash without pulling and sit patiently. You will be given a thorough lesson on these commands on the day you pick-up your dog.

SPECIAL OFFER

Clients and dogs that have completed a Residency Training Program and the included follow-up lessons may schedule private training lessons at the discounted rate of $35.00 per lesson.
These lessons are great opportunities to teach you and your dog new commands, assist with new behavior problems, or refresh what has already been taught. This private lesson rate is good for the life of the dog and is transferable to a new owner.

On-Leash PLUS
(5-3)
During this program your dog will stay in residence at Carolina Heat K-9 Training Academy for 5 full training days. This program is designed to give you basic on-leash control. During this time your dog will be taught the following on-leash commands: HEEL with Automatic-SIT and SIT at your side.
This program includes 2 follow-up lessons where you will be taught proper leash handling and given insight into particular behavior patterns and problems.
Your first lesson will take place the day that you pick-up your dog. Your second follow-up lesson must be completed within 14 days after the final date of residency training or your lesson will be forfeited. A proper sized collar and a standard leather leash are also included with this program.

On-Leash Advanced
(10-4)
During this program your dog will stay in residence at Carolina Heat K-9 Training Academy for 10 full training days. This program is designed to give you basic on-leash control. During this time your dog will be taught the following on-leash commands: HEEL with Automatic-SIT and SIT at your side.
Upon completion of this program your dog will be able to walk on a leash without pulling and sit patiently. You will be given a thorough lesson on these commands on the day you pick-up your dog.

This program includes additional 3 follow-up lessons must be completed within 30 days after the final date of residency training.
This program provides the foundation to allow you and your dog to begin the transition to off-leash obedience.
A proper sized collar and a standard leather leash are also included.

Residence Advanced
(21-6)
​
During this program your dog will stay in residence at Carolina Heat K-9 Training Academy for 21 full training days. During this time your dog will be taught the following commands off-leash: HEEL with Automatic-SIT, SIT and DOWN at your side, SIT and DOWN in motion, SIT and DOWN from the front, STAY, and COME.
Your dog will be able to respond to commands verbally and with hand signals. Your dog will also be taught the PLACE mat command that allows your dog limited freedom while maintaining self-control in a designated area.
Training equipment included with this program: a properly sized training collar, leather leash, training tab, off-leash training line, and a mat for the off-leash place command.
This program includes 6 follow-up lessons following the last day of residency. It is through these lessons you will progress towards off-leash control. Owners will be taught proper leash handling, verbal skill training, proper use of commands, and instructions and advice on unwanted behaviors.
In your follow-up lessons there will be a heavy emphasis on diversifying commands around distractions and in different environments.
Your willingness to incorporate obedience commands into everyday life is crucial for success. The commands included in this program must be utilized in everyday living. Practicing daily at home and in between follow-up lessons is crucial in achieving complete on and off-leash control.
