Health and Vaccination

It is the owner's responsibility to provide current vaccination records to Carolina Heat K-9s from a licensed veterinarian. Dogs without vaccination records or overdue on vaccinations will not be accepted for training. All dogs are required to be in good health and have the following vaccinations: Rabies, Distemper, Adenovirus Type 2, and Parvovirus (DA2P).

The following vaccinations are recommended: Leptospirosis, Parainfiuenza, Bordetella, and Corona. Dogs should be free of external (ex: fleas and ticks) and internal (ex: worms) parasites. It is also recommended that dogs be on a flea and tick preventative.

Training dogs should be in good health. Carolina Heat K-9s does not accept female dogs that are pregnant or in heat for training. Contact Carolina Heat K-9s if you have additional questions.

Offer for graduates of any of our Carolina Heat K9 Training Academy graduates.

SPECIAL OFFER

Clients and dogs that have completed a Residency Training Program and the included follow-up lessons may schedule private training lessons at the discounted rate of $35.00 per lesson.

These lessons are great opportunities to teach you and your dog new commands, assist with new behavior problems, or refresh what has already been taught. This private lesson rate is good for the life of the dog and is transferable to a new owner.

Food and Medication

Please keep in mind that sudden changes in food can sometimes upset a dog's stomach, so we require that you keep your dog on the same food he/she eats at home.

Carolina Heat K-9s does not provide food.

Make sure that you bring enough food for the entire time your dog is scheduled for training. We suggest that you pre-measure the amount to be given for each feeding and place in separate plastic bags.

Payment and Terms

A half deposit is due when you drop-off and the balance is due at your go home lesson.

The following forms of payment are accepted: Cash, Visa and MasterCard. You will need to bring enough food for the entire time your dog is scheduled for training (see above).

You must also provide current vaccination records from a licensed veterinarian (see above). Thank you for your interest in Carolina Heat K-9s.

We are excited to work with you and your dog.  There are a few requirements that  are important to ensure not only a positive outcome, but a safe and healthy environment for your dog and the other dogs staying in residence.
